Buddysoft is an Australian home essentials brand. Facial tissue, toilet rolls, and the everyday paper products that live in every bathroom and kitchen in the country. When the project started, none of it existed. There was a manufacturing capability, a market to enter, and a founder with one question: what do we call it. That turned out to be the third question, not the first, and the answer to it shaped everything we built afterwards.

Naming was the first ask. It was the second problem. A name is a consequence of a position, so we defined what Buddysoft stood for first, and softness gave us the answer.

Consistency across a wide range is a system problem, not a design problem. We built the architecture first, then applied it, so every pack carries the same structure and every new product already knows what it looks like.

Before anything was designed, we had to decide what Buddysoft would stand for. That decision shaped the name:
Category and competitor positioning
Brand strategy and promise
Brand naming and shortlisting
Domain and trademark checks
Softness is the one thing the category is judged on. Buddysoft says it plainly, sounds Australian without trying to, and leaves room for the range to grow.

Packaging design across the full range
One architecture instead of separate designs. Every pack shares the same structure, colour sorts the variants, and new products drop in without starting over.
